Heather

Heather is an herbalist, yoga teacher, forest therapy guide, and long-distance hiker. She is excited to bring her love for nature to Milford Yoga.

Heather has been practicing yoga since 2001 and received her certification from Asheville Yoga Center in 2005. She specializes in Kundalini Yoga, and is ever inspired by its dynamic movement, breathwork, and joyful expression. Heather holds certificates in herbal medicine, botany and taxonomy, and forest therapy, and is the founder of the School of Plant and Place Connection. She has hiked the Appalachian Trail from Georgia to Maine (practicing yoga along the way!) and is the author of three trail-inspired books.

Yoga fosters union within oneself, the natural world, and the myriad of more-than-human beings that inhabit our beautiful planet. Yoga reminds us that we, too, are nature. Through her classes, Heather invites you to rediscover your connection to all the living world through Kundalini Yoga and nature-centered classes.
